To get yourself verified, you need to allow access to your webcam, when prompted by your browser. If you've already done this but your webcam is still not working, you might need to check your operating system's camera settings.

  1. Check your Browser (i.e. we prefer the last version of Chrome):

    When you initially go through the verification procedure, your browser will prompt you to provide access to your camera. Please select Allow.

    To re-enable a blocked camera in Chrome, you should follow these steps:

    1. Click the camera icon in the address bar.

    2. Select 'Always allow ... to access your camera' (1) and then click 'Done' (2).

    3. Refresh the browser page.

    4. If this doesn't help, try checking the Camera settings of your operating system and make sure that your camera is not being used by another application.

2. Check the permissions of your Operating SystemOperating System

A. Windows:

If you are having camera issues on a Windows computer, you might need to check your Windows settings. You should follow these steps:

  1. In the lower left-hand corner of your screen, open the Start menu and go to Settings.

  2. Click on the Privacy tab.

  3. In the menu on the left-hand side, locate the Camera tab and click on it.

  4. Make sure that Camera access for this device is on (1).

  5. Make sure that Allow apps to access your camera (2) is on.

  6. Return to your browser and refresh the page.

B. macOS

To re-enable a blocked camera on macOS, you should follow these steps:

  1. In the Apple menu, go to System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, then click Privacy.

  2. Click Camera.

  3. Make sure the box, that is located next to the browser you are using, is checked.

  4. Return to your browser and refresh the page.

3. Your camera may currently be used by another application

To get your camera working during the verification procedure, you might also need to make sure that your camera is not currently being used by another application, such as Zoom, Skype, or FaceTime. If your camera is being used by another application, you must first close that application, and then refresh the browser page in which you are attempting to pass the verification procedure.

4. Restart your Device

If none of the tips that we have shared above seem to help get your camera working, try restarting your device.
